Specialist Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician

About the role

The Specialist Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine physician provides comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic and intensive care services to patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions. The role involves managing both acute and chronic respiratory disorders while ensuring patient‑centered, evidence‑based care in line with UAE healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients with respiratory and pulmonary diseases, including those requiring intensive care.
• Deliver critical care interventions and manage acute respiratory emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across pulmonology, critical care, emergency medicine, cardiology and other specialties.
• Maintain compliance with institutional policies and UAE health authority standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty training in Pulmonary/Respiratory Medicine and/or Critical Care Medicine.
• Valid UAE Specialist License or eligibility for DHA, DOH or MOHAP licensing.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred or required depending on the facility.
