Specialist Rotating Engineer

About the role

The Specialist Rotating Engineer will lead technical engineering, design and procurement of rotating equipment for major offshore oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead rotating equipment engineering and design for offshore facilities.
• Review and approve datasheets, specifications, vendor drawings and technical proposals.
• Provide specialist support for selection and design of compressors, turbines, pumps, blowers, fans, diesel engines, generators and packaged equipment.
• Ensure designs meet ADNOC, API, ISO, ASME and IEC requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary integration with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, structural and procurement teams.
• Support procurement, inspection, FAT, construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up activities.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, design and constructability reviews.
• Resolve technical queries, deviations and site issues during execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Professional Engineering certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in rotating equipment engineering on oil & gas EPC/PMC projects, especially offshore and ADNOC/Middle East projects.
