Sportswear Sales Associate (Rugby)

About the role

A sportswear retailer specializing in rugby apparel and equipment, based in Dubai, is hiring a full-time, on-site Sportswear Sales (Rugby) associate. The role welcomes customers, understands their rugby-related needs and recommends sportswear, footwear and accessories.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the sales floor and maintain product displays
• Handle point-of-sale transactions
• Support inventory checks and stock replenishment
• Explain product features and benefits, assist with sizing and fitting
• Take part in in-store promotions and learn about new product ranges
• Support basic training of new colleagues on product knowledge and customer service standards

Required profile

• Previous retail or sportswear sales experience preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods, manage a fast pace and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Proficiency in English; other languages commonly spoken in Dubai are an advantage

Required skills

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Sales skills: identifying customer needs, recommending products and closing sales
• Sales management and training skills to support store targets and coach team members
• Knowledge of rugby and sportswear products is highly beneficial
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling is preferred
