Staff Nurse – General Medicine Clinic

About the role

The Staff Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in the General Medicine Clinic at Ghayathi Hospital, Al Dhafra. The role involves delivering patient‑centred care, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, and promoting health education in line with Abu Dhabi nursing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, ensuring safe medication administration and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Supervise and mentor practical nurses, midwives, junior staff and student nurses, acting as a preceptor and role model.
• Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care, liaising with physicians and other health‑care providers.
• Participate in quality improvement, risk management and infection‑control initiatives, reporting adverse drug reactions and incidents.
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience post‑qualification (experience requirement waived for UAE nursing graduates after internship).
• Registered with the Abu Dhabi nursing regulatory body and committed to the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, teamwork and ability to manage conflicts.
