Staff Nurse – Primary Health Care (ADH)

About the role

The Staff Nurse will deliver age‑appropriate patient care within the Primary Health Care setting, supporting the mission, vision and values of the organization. The role involves comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in line with Abu Dhabi health authority standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, medication administration and monitor patient responses according to Ministry of Health and HA‑AD narcotic policies.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care, including discharge planning and referral processes, to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and mentor practical nurses, junior staff and student nurses, acting as a preceptor and role model.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic medical records and maintain confidentiality.
• Participate in quality improvement, risk management and infection control initiatives to promote patient safety.

Required profile

• Special nursing certificate with at least 2 years of clinical experience post‑qualification (experience waiver for recent graduates of UAE nursing colleges).
• Demonstrated critical thinking, problem‑solving and conflict‑management abilities.
• Commitment to professional development, including completion of mandatory competencies and continuing nursing education.
