Staff Nurse – Urgent Care / General OPD

About the role

The Staff Nurse will provide direct, age‑specific patient care in the Urgent Care and General OPD settings, supporting paediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses and support staff.
• Document all patient information accurately in the medical record and ensure compliance with JCIA standards.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and safety checks such as crash‑cart and refrigeration temperature.
• Handle narcotic and controlled substances safely and complete required competency training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent) with a valid registration/license.
• Minimum two years of recent post‑graduate nursing experience.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is essential.
• Ability to assess physical and psychological needs of patients and families.
