Staff Physician, Non-Invasive Cardiologist

About the role

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, a physician-led multispecialty hospital on Al Maryah Island, is seeking a non-invasive consultant cardiologist to join its cardiovascular medicine section. The section provides comprehensive tertiary cardiovascular care and is an American College of Cardiology International Center of Excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide care to patients with serious, chronic illness
• Prescribe or administer medication, therapy and other specialized care, and explain procedures and test results to patients
• Analyze records, reports and test results to diagnose conditions and gather patient history
• Provide specific treatments and liaise with medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality care
• Take part in administrative functions such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measures
• Follow ethical and regulatory guidelines and adhere to approved clinical privileges and medical staff policies

Required profile

• MD, MBBS or MBChB degree and a recognized specialty qualification in non-invasive cardiology (per the DOH PQR table)
• Board certification in Non-invasive Cardiology; internationally recognized qualifications such as ABIM, CCT/CCST, Royal College (Canada), Facharzt or FRCRAC are preferred
• Valid license to practice in the home country or country of last employment
• For physicians from Tier 1 countries, at least 2 years of experience after qualification; for Tier 2 countries, at least 5 years
• Ability to speak and write English
