Stewarding Supervisor

About the role

Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort, part of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, is looking for a Stewarding Supervisor in Dibba Al-Fujairah. The supervisor oversees the stewards and ensures that kitchen and back-of-house cleaning and equipment care meet the resort's high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the stewards and support team members in their training and development
• Coordinate the daily pot-wash and dish-wash duties
• Keep back-of-house areas clean and make sure cleaning schedules are followed
• Follow health, hygiene and safety guidelines when handling hazardous substances and report faulty, misused or damaged equipment to managers, the executive chef and the chief engineer
• Ensure the correct PPE is in place and that machinery is operated safely in line with the hotel's Health and Safety Manual
• Help locate, move and store equipment, and assist with stock takes
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks set by hotel management

Required profile

• Previous experience in a stewarding department preferred
• University or college degree in a related discipline is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible and reliable, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Team player who can stay calm and courteous while focusing on guest needs
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards, and to the Fairmont brand promise
