Storekeeper - Interior Fit-Out

About the role

A client of Agile Consultants is looking for an experienced Storekeeper to manage material receiving, inventory control, stock records and material issuance for its interior fit-out and joinery operations in Dubai. The successful candidate inspects incoming materials, keeps accurate inventory records, organises factory storage and issues materials against approved requests.

Key responsibilities

• Receive materials, tools and consumables from suppliers and verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage, incorrect specifications, quality issues and delivery discrepancies, and check codes, sizes and specifications.
• Coordinate with procurement and quality control teams on shortages, damaged or incorrect deliveries.
• Record all received materials in the stock register or inventory management system and organise storage by factory sections, item codes and locations.
• Maintain inventory records for receipts, issues, returns and adjustments, and issue materials only against approved requisitions, job orders or authorisations.
• Monitor consumption, report low stock, carry out daily checks of critical items and regular physical counts, and conduct monthly stocktakes.
• Prepare inventory reports on minimum stock, reorder needs, slow-moving and obsolete items.

Required profile

• High school certificate or diploma; additional training in storekeeping or inventory management is an advantage.
• Minimum 2-3 years of storekeeping experience, with mandatory experience in the interior fit-out industry.
• Experience handling materials such as paint, joinery products, glass, metal, hardware and general factory consumables.
• Ability to work in a factory environment and handle materials safely.

Required skills

• Knowledge of inventory control, material coding, stocktaking and warehouse organisation.
• Ability to maintain accurate stock registers and inventory records.
• Strong organisational and recordkeeping skills, good communication and coordination with procurement, production and project teams.
• Ability to manage multiple material requests and prioritise urgent production needs.
