Storekeeper & Receiving Clerk

About the role

The Storekeeper & Receiving Clerk ensures that all hotel supplies are received, inspected, stored, and issued efficiently, supporting smooth hotel operations while maintaining cost control and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all goods delivered to the hotel against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Verify quantity, quality, specifications, and pricing; report any discrepancies to Purchasing/Finance.
• Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, and stock balances.
• Store items by category and apply FIFO practices, especially for perishable goods.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and assist with month‑end inventory.
• Issue approved stock items to departments against proper requisitions.
• Ensure store areas are clean, organized, and secure.
• Support audits by providing accurate documentation.
• Follow HACCP, health & safety regulations, and handle hazardous materials safely.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Finance, and operational departments to support cost‑control initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience as a storekeeper or receiving clerk in a hotel environment.
• UAE hospitality experience preferred.
• Basic communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
