Structural Analysis Engineer II

About the role

The Structural Analysis Engineer II will lead stress and vibration analysis of gas turbine components for turbojet and turbofan programs. This position requires deep expertise in mechanical design, gas‑turbine propulsion, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise gas‑turbine systems for life, weight, manufacturability and cost.
• Perform thermo‑mechanical, creep, fatigue, fracture, vibration and rotodynamic simulations across design and off‑design conditions.
• Conduct Stress, Low‑Cycle Fatigue, High‑Cycle Fatigue, and FMECA assessments to ensure safety and operability.
• Support FEA methodology development, review designs, prepare engineering reports and testing guidelines.
• Identify project risks and plan mitigation strategies while developing junior engineers.

Required profile

• Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
• 5‑15+ years of experience in gas‑turbine propulsion, mechanical design and heat transfer.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
• Expertise with commercial FEA software (ANSYS, HyperWorks, Simcenter Nastran, etc.).
• Programming experience in C and Matlab/Simulink.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics of materials, creep, fatigue and vibration analysis.
