Structural Design Engineer

About the role

A growing structural engineering team in Dubai is looking for a motivated Structural Design Engineer. The successful candidate will design safe, economical and code-compliant structural systems for residential, commercial, industrial and fit-out projects, from concept through to authority submission and construction-ready drawings. This is an opportunity for an engineer with 1-2 years of hands-on design experience to develop their career in a UAE consultancy, with direct exposure to Dubai authority approval processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design reinforced concrete, structural steel and composite systems, including foundations, slabs, beams, columns, retaining walls and staircases
• Prepare structural calculations according to the Dubai Building Code, ACI, Eurocode and other relevant standards
• Analyse gravity, wind and seismic loads using ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro and IDEA StatiCa, and prepare design reports and calculation packages
• Draw GA drawings, foundation plans, reinforcement drawings and structural details, and review them before client and authority submission
• Attend technical meetings with clients, explain structural solutions and support the business development team
• Review calculations, verify compliance with Dubai authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, Civil Defense) and maintain calculation templates and checklists

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 1-2 years of structural design experience; UAE consultancy experience preferred
• Familiarity with Dubai authority codes and submission requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, able to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team

The salary is AED 4,000 - 6,000 per month. The role is on-site and full-time.
