Structural Designer

About the role

A Structural Designer is needed in Abu Dhabi to prepare accurate and coordinated structural drawings and design details based on engineering calculations and project requirements. The role ensures compliance with codes and standards and multidisciplinary coordination for successful project delivery. It is a full-time, mid-level position requiring 4-8 years of experience.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit or SolidWorks.
• Revise and update designs and drawings according to feedback from the project team or changes in project scope.
• Work closely with engineers, architects and other stakeholders to understand project specifications and requirements.
• Ensure all drawings follow company standards, industry regulations and client requirements.
• Identify and resolve design issues before the project reaches construction or manufacturing.
• Support the engineering team with accurate, timely information throughout the project lifecycle.
• Give input on the selection and use of new CAD tools or techniques.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, or an associate degree in Drafting and Design.
• 4-8 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawing.
• Ability to manage several tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
