Structural Engineer – RTA Approved

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to supervise and manage bridge and tunnel works on major infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves overseeing sub‑structure and super‑structure activities, ensuring compliance with RTA and Dubai Municipality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise bridge sub‑structure works including pile foundations, caps, piers and abutments.
• Oversee bridge super‑structure works such as precast and cast‑in‑situ girders, deck slabs and crash barriers.
• Witness post‑tensioning operations, heavy‑lift activities and TBM‑related structural tasks.
• Review and comment on contractor method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, material submittals and mix designs.
• Verify survey set‑outs, raise NCRs, coordinate with design team on RFIs and value‑engineering proposals.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly supervision, quality, HSE and progress reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of structural engineering experience, at least 8 years on major bridge or tunnel projects.
• At least 6 years UAE/GCC experience on RTA, metro or Dubai Municipality projects.
• RTA approved and fluent in English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ACI 318, ACI 350, AASHTO LRFD, BS 5400, BS EN 1992, ITA guidelines and RTA/DM specifications.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, LUSAS, STAAD.Pro) at reviewer level.
• Familiarity with TBM operations, segmental ring geometry and shotcrete/SCL methods.
• Competent in MS Office, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
