Structural Engineer – Steel Bridge Design

About the role

Egis is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer specialized in steel bridge design, construction, inspection, and rehabilitation. The role involves overseeing engineering activities, ensuring compliance with international standards and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyse and verify structural designs, calculations and shop drawings for steel bridge projects.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct structural assessments, inspections and condition surveys of steel bridges.
• Recommend repair, strengthening or rehabilitation solutions and review fabrication and erection methodologies.
• Prepare engineering reports, technical submissions, method statements and project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Structural Engineer on steel bridge projects.
• Proven experience in design, construction, inspection or rehabilitation of steel bridges.
• Strong knowledge of international bridge design codes and standards.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
