Submission Officer - Claims

About the role

Al-Futtaim Health, the healthcare division of the Al-Futtaim Group, is hiring a Submission Officer in Dubai. The role ensures timely and accurate submission of claims, works with physicians and other teams to reduce denials, and monitors financial risks in claims processing.

Key responsibilities

• Submit all eligible inpatient, outpatient and pharmacy claims on time, with proper medical and technical justification
• Follow up internally on raised Quality Management System (QMS) issues with the concerned branch
• Discuss claims with physicians to obtain clinical justification
• Handle complex cases that require specialist knowledge or technical IT support
• Work with the Insurance Approvals and Claims re-submission team to minimise denials
• Ensure submissions comply with insurance industry and DHA regulations and meet submission KPIs
• Educate the billing and approval teams and coordinate with the CDI team so physicians and paramedical staff document claims correctly
• Maintain accurate monthly data of claims submissions per insurer and analyse revenue cycle financial data to identify defaulting payers

Required profile

• Certified professional coding certificate from a reputable institution
• Certified medical or paramedical certificate
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent presentation and analytical skills, good decision-making and operational thinking
• Ability to work under pressure to meet targets
