Substitute Cover Teacher - Secondary French

About the role

GEMS American Academy in Abu Dhabi is looking for a passionate and dedicated French teacher for the secondary division to work as a substitute/cover teacher starting in February 2027. The school follows an American curriculum and the IB continuum, blending academic excellence with inquiry-based learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed) or a subject-related degree with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/state teaching license or equivalent).
• Teaching qualification in French.
• Ability to inspire, motivate and support students through engaging, purposeful learning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and reflective approach.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and an inclusive school culture.
