Superintendent - Maintenance

About the role

ADPG Enterprise Company is looking for a Maintenance Superintendent in Abu Dhabi to supervise maintenance activities of port equipment. The role covers executing maintenance plans and schedules, planning preventative maintenance programmes, preparing equipment work plans and following up projects while complying with safety policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure daily, weekly and monthly maintenance plans and schedules are executed on time and efficiently.
• Maintain equipment according to manufacturer recommendations, QA manuals, company health and safety policies and applicable standards.
• Run preventative maintenance programmes and preserve best maintenance practices.
• Prepare detailed work plans covering personnel, plant, equipment and parts available.
• Monitor project managers and CM work orders so they are completed on time.
• Work with other departments and contractors on scheduling of services, new equipment receipt, inspection, installation, commissioning and handover.
• Manage off-site repairs and approve equipment only when it is in proper condition for operation.
• Control all documentation coming into or going out of the unit.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a similar role, in maintenance and reliability within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Excellent English; Arabic is an added advantage.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems, design creative strategies and lead high-performance teams.
• Able to prioritise and manage multiple projects at once and to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with an enterprise resource planning system, Microsoft Business Applications and AutoCAD is an advantage.
