Supply Chain Manager – Industrial & Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise the end‑to‑end supply chain for a group of industrial manufacturing companies in Iraq. The role will ensure uninterrupted flow of raw materials, consumables, spare parts and finished products while supporting operational performance and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement, planning, logistics, warehousing and inventory management across the business.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for production lines and raw materials.
• Negotiate commercial terms and long‑term contracts with local and international suppliers.
• Maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials and critical spare parts.
• Oversee production planning and demand forecasting in collaboration with manufacturing and commercial teams.
• Monitor inventory, reduce excess and obsolete stock, and manage working capital.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, transportation planning and export activities.
• Establish supplier performance management and conduct regular evaluations.
• Identify cost‑reduction and process‑improvement opportunities.
• Support ERP implementation and supply‑chain digitalisation initiatives.
• Develop SOPs and monitor KPIs such as inventory turnover, procurement savings and service levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of supply‑chain experience in industrial manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Direct experience in gypsum manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of procurement, planning, warehousing, logistics, inventory control and supplier management.
