Systems Administrator

About the role

The Computer Systems Administrator ensures the smooth operation of multi‑user computer systems, coordinating with network administrators and maintaining IT equipment and software. The role involves policy development, system performance tuning, and documentation of configurations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site system administration support, including user account creation, management, and deletion.
• Perform routine, emergency, test and exercise events following technical manuals and checklists.
• Monitor mission‑critical systems, collect logs, and support fault detection and correction.
• Execute backups, archives, recovery and restoration procedures as defined in operational guidelines.
• Support remote site maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical assistance for end‑user engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Security, Computer Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet program needs.
• Strong problem‑determination and resolution skills.

• Storage technologies (NAS, SAN)
• Microsoft Active Directory and Windows security permissions
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and network interfaces
• Experience with VMware Horizon, vSAN, Windows Server 2012/2016, Windows 7/10
• Application server administration (JBoss, Tomcat)
