TBM Superintendent

About the role

The Boring Company is seeking a senior TBM Superintendent to lead tunneling machine operations on its Dubai project. You will own safety, production and crew performance across all shifts, ensuring continuous underground mining.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all TBM tunneling operations across shifts, including excavation, ground support, utilities, conveyor/muck handling and underground logistics.
• Own the full production system – segment/material supply, spoil removal, shaft operations and surface support – to sustain continuous mining.
• Develop and execute shift plans, production targets and look‑ahead schedules in coordination with project management and engineering.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate foremen and crews, ensuring clear shift‑to‑shift handoffs and crew capability.
• Manage safety underground, enforce SOPs, lead incident prevention, investigation and corrective actions.
• Coordinate TBM advance, maintenance windows and interventions to maximise machine availability.

Required profile

• 8+ years of underground tunneling or mining experience, with significant time on TBM projects.
• Prior experience as a Superintendent, Lead or senior Foreman leading multiple crews on TBM operations.
• Proven track record of delivering production safely under demanding schedules.
• Willingness to relocate to and work in Dubai, UAE; international project experience preferred.

Required skills

• Deep working knowledge of TBM systems, ground support, ventilation, dewatering and underground logistics.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision‑making skills under pressure.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, around heavy equipment and support 24/7 rotating shift operations.
