Specialist Structural Engineer

About the role

The Specialist Structural Engineer will provide expert civil and structural engineering support for ADNOC offshore projects across all phases, from FEED to commissioning. The role ensures compliance with ADNOC specifications, international codes, and HSE standards while delivering safe and cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve EPC contractor deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Perform structural analysis and design for offshore jackets, topsides, decks, bridges, modules, pipe racks, and equipment foundations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (process, mechanical, piping, electrical, marine, geotechnical, construction) to resolve technical queries and change requests.
• Support procurement through technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and material approvals.
• Identify technical risks and propose practical engineering solutions during fabrication, transportation, installation, and commissioning.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure engineering deliverables meet schedule, quality, and HSE objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with at least 15 years of relevant oil & gas or petrochemical experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar senior position on mega offshore projects, preferably ADNOC offshore and GCC projects.
• Proven experience in FEED and EPC phases of large offshore developments.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of offshore structural engineering principles, fatigue, seismic, blast, and accidental load analysis.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, API, DNV, ISO 19902, AISC, Eurocodes, BS standards.
• Proficiency in structural software such as SACS, STAAD.Pro, SEAMAN, SYSA, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and MS Office.
