Technical Lead Engineer - Cryogenic Equipment Aftermarket Support

About the role

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases provides cryogenic pumps, heat exchangers, process systems and turboexpanders for the LNG, LH2 and industrial gases industries. As Technical Lead Engineer, you will give highly technical support to Aftermarket Services (NCS) customers and field service engineers in the Middle East, acting as the technical lead during troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of cryogenic equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to NCS Middle East customers, Customer Centers and field service engineers, onsite and remotely
• Develop standard tools and procedures based on your expertise
• Assist the NCS sales group with technical and commercial bids
• Review workshop teardown reports and help determine failures
• Review Field Trouble Reports (FTR), follow up on dispositions and ensure solutions meet customer requirements with high quality assurance
• Oversee field service and trouble reports after site work, and analyze failures to prepare long-term corrections to CARs
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for Middle East Customer Center products and maximize equipment reliability to reduce downtime
• Act as technical liaison with product companies on warranties and technical issues, recommending improvements
• Deliver on-site training so customers can troubleshoot, operate and maintain equipment themselves
• Work with workshops and project managers on overhauls, repairs and warranties, and stay current with new product designs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of related experience
• Experience applying engineering science and technology to pumping systems or related products
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and process blueprints and technical documentation
• Specific experience with cryogenic equipment and aftermarket services highly preferred
• Willingness to work in office and shop environments and to travel and stay at customer and company sites
