Technical Manager - Isolation Valves

About the role

Emerson is seeking a Technical Manager for its Isolation Valves business in Dubai. The role leads after‑sales customer support, local value‑added services and operational‑excellence initiatives across the Middle East and Africa, working closely with sales, PMO, lifecycle services and factory teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regional customer support processes for technical inquiries, complaints, warranty issues and field support.
• Coordinate root‑cause‑analysis activities, drive corrective actions and monitor KPIs for issue resolution.
• Partner with sales and application teams to identify installed‑base opportunities, generate aftermarket demand and develop technical proposals.
• Oversee local valve integration, testing, installation and commissioning, establishing standards and quality requirements.
• Drive continuous‑improvement and operational‑excellence projects, reporting performance to regional and global leadership.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Instrumentation preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in valves, actuators or automation, including operations, engineering or after‑sales support.
• Proven experience supporting major GCC customers and working in matrix organisations.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• Valve automation and integration.
• Warranty management and root‑cause analysis.
• Continuous‑improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Testing, commissioning and field service of isolation valves.
• Technical training development and delivery.
