Technical Product Owner – Data Science & AI Platform

About the role

The Technical Product Owner will act as the front door to multiple product engineering teams within Emirates Group's Analytics Centre of Excellence, owning backlogs that span features, non‑functional requirements, technical debt and more. The role partners with business stakeholders to drive data and information products from concept through to operation.

Key responsibilities

• Own data and information products, ensuring compliance with enterprise data and analytics guidelines and architecture.
• Maintain business metadata documentation, including entity definitions, relationships, KPI documentation and data dictionaries.
• Define story content, acceptance criteria and sign‑off, prioritising work across sprints and PI planning.
• Capture and prioritise technical debt, non‑functional requirements, BAU, ceremonies and spikes within team capacity.
• Contribute to PI demos, risk identification and dependency management, and participate in product management community activities.

Required profile

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) with 5+ years of IT experience.
• 2+ years of practical experience as a Product Owner/Manager in a team‑facing capacity.
• Experience with Scaled Agile frameworks and large‑scale initiatives (50+ teams) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with peers and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Operations Research, Marketing Science, Information Systems, e‑Commerce knowledge.
• Certified in CSPO, SAFe or PSPO.
• Understanding of modern data architecture, transaction systems and airline/ground‑handling KPIs.
• Business Intelligence applications and design principles.
