Technical Service & Development (TS&D) Specialist

About the role

Dow is hiring a Technical Service & Development (TS&D) Specialist in Dubai. You will provide technical leadership and application development support across the Middle East, Africa and Turkey (MEAT) region, using knowledge of chemistry, materials science and engineering to support customers in the Infrastructure, Mobility and Consumer segments. You will work with customers, marketing, sales, product management and R&D teams, and act as a technical expert and technical ambassador for Dow.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and application development support to customers across the MEAT region, solving complex technical challenges.
• Develop and promote differentiated technical solutions that create value for customers and support Dow's business objectives.
• Lead and manage technical projects, technology roadmaps and innovation initiatives, including intellectual property development.
• Build customer relationships through technical service, responding to inquiries and supporting strategic accounts.
• Identify new market opportunities through competitive analysis and collaboration with marketing and commercial teams.
• Mentor colleagues, deliver presentations, publish technical papers and speak at industry events.

Required profile

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science or a related field.
• Experience supporting customers in Infrastructure, Mobility, Consumer or related segments.
• Experience in intellectual property development, patents, technical publications or industry presentations.
• Experience in a multinational or geographically diverse environment.
• Occasional regional and international travel may be required.
