Technical Services Engineer – Propulsion

About the role

The Technical Services Engineer – Propulsion will lead the Power Plants reliability programme for airline and third‑party aircraft, focusing on engines and APUs. You will ensure optimal performance, cost‑effective dispatch, and fleet readiness while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day technical assessment of aircraft power plants, including data collection, performance review and analysis.
• Support the Head of Engineering in developing procedures, specifications and Engineering Operational Standards for the propulsion reliability programme.
• Review publications, regulations and service bulletins, ensuring compliance with airworthiness requirements and OEM directives.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, trend reporting and investigations, recommending corrective actions and modifications to the Aircraft Maintenance Programme.
• Prepare and deliver reliability reports to management, cross‑functional teams and regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate with planning, maintenance, MCC, manufacturers and OEMs on engine/APU removal, installation and spare‑engine management.
• Evaluate service bulletins and airworthiness directives, draft engineering orders and support CAMO approvals.
• Collaborate with projects, warranty, legal and finance teams on new initiatives, contracts and service level agreements.

Required profile

• Strong background in aircraft propulsion systems, engines and APUs.
• Experience in reliability programmes, data analysis and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Excellent problem‑solving and investigative skills.
