Telecom Maintenance Technician

About the role

ADNOC is seeking a Telecom Maintenance Technician to perform day‑to‑day maintenance activities for telecom equipment across assigned field areas. The role involves both routine preventive work and corrective actions to ensure reliable network performance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance, repair, and testing of telecom equipment following SOPs and safe work practices.
• Respond promptly to work requests and obtain required permits and HSE certifications.
• Conduct inspections of telecom installations to verify serviceability and calibration of test equipment.
• Monitor network performance using Network Management Systems (NMS) and report failures to the Telecom Engineer.
• Install new equipment and modifications according to approved plans, supervising external contractors as needed.
• Collaborate with instrumentation technicians, external agencies (e.g., Etisalat), and maintenance personnel for troubleshooting.
• Update maintenance records, databases, and as‑built drawings in the Maintenance Management System.
• Perform repair and testing of telecom modules in a workshop environment.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in a relevant field or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
