Time Controller - Authorized Dealership Workshop

About the role

Careers International is hiring an experienced Time Controller for an automobile workshop or authorized dealership in Dubai. The role covers monitoring workshop floor activities, tracking job progress and repair timelines, monitoring technician productivity and supporting the flow between service advisors, technicians, workshop supervisors and service management. The ideal candidate has strong automotive technical knowledge and hands-on workshop floor experience.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day workshop floor activities and ensure smooth workflow across all repair and service jobs.
• Track job progress, repair timelines, technician productivity and workshop efficiency.
• Allocate, follow up and monitor jobs with workshop supervisors, foremen, technicians and service advisors.
• Ensure vehicles are attended to, repaired, inspected and delivered within committed timelines.
• Monitor technician time utilization, idle time and job completion status.
• Support workshop KPIs, productivity targets, turnaround time and operational goals.
• Follow up on pending jobs, spare parts delays, additional approvals, repeat repairs and job card status.
• Maintain accurate records of productivity, job progress, repair time, workshop loading and vehicle status.
• Assist in preparing reports on productivity, daily job status, technician performance and KPIs.
• Ensure processes follow authorized dealership standards and company procedures.

Required profile

• ITI or diploma in Automobile, Mechanical or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in workshop floor handling, time control or a similar workshop coordination role.
• Experience in an Authorized Dealership is mandatory.
• Strong automotive technical knowledge of vehicle service, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.
• Good communication, coordination, follow-up, reporting and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Ability to use ERP systems, service management software, job card systems and business communication tools.
• Preferred: experience in workshop floor control, productivity monitoring, job card management, vehicle service operations, KPI monitoring, service advisor coordination and vehicle delivery follow-up.
