Trainee Civil Designer (UAE Nationals)

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Civil Designer to work on diverse and challenging projects within Wood's Oil, Gas & New Energies business. You will develop your engineering skills while contributing to high‑profile energy sector projects.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and prepare technical information, suggesting design changes for functional and cost‑effective results.
• Apply graduate‑level engineering practices, design methods and calculations.
• Ensure compliance with standards, processes, procedures and regulatory frameworks.
• Prepare accurate written communications and reports.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail, commitment to quality and ability to meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Civil engineering design principles and calculations.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with specialist engineering software.
