Travel Consultant

About the role

Al Tayer Travel Agency in Dubai is looking for a Travel Consultant. The consultant advises customers on travel options, helps them choose the best route or airline within their budget, processes tickets and pursues sales targets while keeping customers satisfied.

Key responsibilities

• Advise customers on travel options, help them choose the most suitable route or airline and process tickets in time so they can make informed decisions.
• Propose ways to limit travel costs and offer services such as airport pick-ups and hotel accommodation to reduce add-on costs.
• Follow administrative policies on ticketing and cash or cheque collection to avoid disputes and keep transactions transparent.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of regular customers, including bookings, frequent flyer numbers and meal or seat preferences, to deliver personalised service.
• Collect and act on customer feedback after trips to improve service quality.
• Follow up with defaulting customers to collect overdue payments.
• Keep product knowledge current and stay informed on travel industry rules and regulations.

Required profile

• Intermediate or A' Levels education.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the travel industry.
• IATA certification is an advantage.
