Turbine Aerodynamic Design Engineer II

About the role

The Turbine Aerodynamic Design Engineer II will support the aerodynamic design, analysis, and optimisation of axial turbine stages for gas‑turbine or turbojet engines. The role focuses on blade and vane aerodynamics, performance, and efficiency across design, analysis, and testing phases.

Key responsibilities

• Design turbine blades and vanes, including profile, angle, and stacking decisions.
• Generate preliminary air‑foil geometries and perform CFD simulations for turbine cascades and stages.
• Analyse flow fields, losses, secondary flows and heat‑transfer effects to improve efficiency and pressure ratio.
• Evaluate turbine performance under design and off‑design conditions and support matching with compressors and combustors.
• Assist rig and engine testing, define instrumentation, and compare test data with CFD predictions.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, manufacturing and testing teams to ensure integrated design.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–7 years of experience in turbomachinery aerodynamic design.
• Experience in turbine aerodynamics, preferably with small gas turbines or turbojet engines.
• Exposure to multi‑stage turbine design and test data analysis.
