Valve Technician

About the role

EnerMech is seeking a skilled Valve Technician to perform inspection, servicing, repair, calibration and testing of industrial valves both in the workshop and at client sites. The role requires adherence to standards, procedures and client requirements while ensuring safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, dismantle, clean, repair, re‑assemble and test various valve types including gate, globe, ball, butterfly and control valves.
• Conduct grinding, lapping, blue‑contact checking, dimensional inspection and replace damaged internal components.
• Perform hydrostatic, pneumatic, seat‑leakage, functional and operational testing in line with applicable standards.
• Repair, overhaul, calibrate and test pressure safety valves (PSVs) to API, ASME and OEM specifications.
• Service, troubleshoot and test manual, pneumatic, hydraulic and electric valve actuators.
• Complete inspection reports, repair records, test certificates and other documentation accurately and on time.

Required profile

• Secondary school education or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting or Machining.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial valve servicing, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, power or process industries.
• Strong knowledge of valve construction, operating principles and testing standards.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively and commit to safety and quality procedures.
