Vice President – Centralized Payments (UAE Nationals Only)

About the role

The Vice President of Centralized Payments will lead payment operations for Mashreqbank Group and its subsidiaries across the UAE and regional branches. This senior position requires deep expertise in banking payments, regulatory compliance, and Oracle financial systems, and is open to UAE nationals only.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all external vendor payments for Mashreqbank Group entities, ensuring timely processing and compliance with authority delegations.
• Oversee accounting functions for the Injaz subsidiary, including statutory audit and preparation of audited financial statements.
• Maintain invoice processing turnaround times and internal customer satisfaction across subsidiaries and overseas branches.
• Control staff cost payments in line with HR policies, handling salaries, allowances, benefits, and expense reimbursements.
• Ensure accurate recording of transactions in Oracle Financials (Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger), HRMS, WPS, UAEFTS, and EDMS.
• Validate payment approvals, LPO matching, and prevent duplicate payments or financial risks.
• Drive system enhancements and automation, develop specifications, and coordinate UAT for Oracle implementations.
• Lead the configuration of Oracle modules for new entities, including Fixed Assets, Purchases, Inventory, and Accounts Payable.

Required profile

• UAE national with a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or centralized payment operations within banking or large financial institutions.
• Extensive experience in centralized payments, reconciliation, and settlement operations.
• Strong knowledge of Accounting Policies, IFRS, internal control frameworks, and UAE regulatory/payment landscape.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams in a centralized payments environment.
