Vice President - Civil Design

About the role

Lead and manage the Civil Design team, ensuring projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety and sustainability in line with Aldar’s standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee design and delivery of civil engineering solutions for infrastructure projects, including roadways, utilities, drainage, grading and other components.
• Develop and implement civil design standards, guidelines and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
• Review and approve civil design calculations, drawings and models, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance and alignment with client requirements.
• Monitor progress of civil design work, identify and resolve issues, and ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions, support construction activities and resolve technical issues during implementation.
• Manage civil engineering consultants and coordinate with architects, structural, MEP engineers and other stakeholders to integrate designs.

Required profile

• Proven track record in civil/structural design for the real‑estate industry, preferably with deep exposure to the GCC region.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards and local regulations.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
