Waiter – Luxury Dining at Lion in the Sun

About the role

Join Lion in the Sun, a new Mediterranean‑inspired concept located in the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, as a Waiter. You will be part of a sophisticated team delivering an extraordinary dining experience that reflects the brand’s opulence and exclusivity.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly, providing personalized service from arrival to departure.
• Serve dishes and beverages with meticulous attention to presentation and quality.
• Engage with guests courteously, anticipate their needs and respond promptly to requests.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, ingredients, preparation methods and allergens to answer inquiries and make recommendations.
• Keep the dining area clean and organized, including setting, clearing and resetting tables, polishing glassware and ensuring a tidy environment.
• Adhere to all health, safety and hygiene standards, as well as company policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a waiter in a high‑end, luxury restaurant or hotel (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for exceptional service.
• Impeccable grooming and presentation in line with a luxury brand image.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
