Waiter / Waitress

About the role

Rixos Bab Al Bahr, a luxury hotel chain offering traditional Turkish hospitality within an all-inclusive holiday concept, is looking for a waiter or waitress. The role covers serving food and beverages, handling payments and keeping the restaurant clean and well-stocked.

Key responsibilities

• Read daily events and acknowledge VIP arrivals
• Know all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods and explain them politely and concisely
• Present children's menus and describe specials and alternative cuisine
• Serve and clear food and beverage items professionally
• Use the POS system to ring up sales, print checks, close checks and complete cash-out procedures
• Carry trays, bus and reset tables with linen, china, glass and silver
• Check guest satisfaction, handle problems and inform the manager of issues and their resolution
• Follow cash and credit card procedures and keep the restaurant clean and orderly
• Polish silver, refill condiments, keep the workstation stocked and report guest comments to the manager
• Maintain equipment, follow safety, sanitation and hygiene policies and help minimise waste and breakages
• Perform opening and closing duties, set tables to standard and assist other outlets during peak hours

Required profile

• Secondary education
• At least 1 year of food and beverage serving experience
• Previous public contact and/or cashiering experience
• An additional foreign language is an asset (Russian)
