Waiter/Waitress – Full‑time Service Role

About the role

Join the food and beverage team at Sofitel Dubai the Obelisk, a luxury hotel in the heart of Dubai. As a Waiter/Waitress you will deliver attentive, professional service to guests in a dynamic, upscale environment.

Key responsibilities

• Read daily events and acknowledge VIP arrivals.
• Know all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods and convey this information politely.
• Present children’s menus, describe specials and alternative cuisine.
• Serve and clear food and beverage items unobtrusively and professionally.
• Use the POS system to ring up sales, print and close checks, and complete cash‑out procedures.
• Carry trays, bus and reset tables with linen, china, glass and silverware.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, resolve issues and report to the manager.
• Maintain a clean, neat restaurant throughout service and follow safety, sanitation and hygiene policies.
• Polish silver, refill condiments and ensure work stations are stocked.
• Assist other F&B outlets during peak hours when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of food and beverage serving experience.
• Previous public contact and/or cashiering experience.
