Waitress

About the role

The Waitress will ensure a high standard of service, efficiency and courtesy for guests at Swissotel Al Murooj in Dubai. You will work closely with the restaurant team, assist the Assistant Manager and create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects Accor’s brand values.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the dining area according to meal settings and opening hours, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Greet guests, present menus, take orders, handle payments and ensure accurate billing through the micros POS system.
• Maintain personal grooming standards and uniform appearance while on duty.
• Communicate guest preferences, make recommendations and upsell menu items.
• Report maintenance issues, equipment failures and cleanliness concerns to the supervisor.
• Handle guest complaints according to procedures and assist with any additional tasks across the hotel as needed.

Required profile

• College graduate with at least one year of experience in waitressing or food‑and‑beverage service.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and hygiene regulations in a food service environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) software, specifically the micros system.
• Ability to operate computer systems for order entry and billing.
