Wedding & Event Carpenter – UAE

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Wedding & Event Carpenter to join our production team in the UAE. The role involves fabricating, assembling, installing, modifying, repairing and dismantling wooden structures and decorative elements for weddings, parties, corporate events, exhibitions and other special occasions.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble stages, backdrops, arches, walls, partitions, counters and booths according to drawings and production requirements.
• Cut, shape, drill, sand, assemble and finish wood, plywood, MDF, laminate and related materials.
• Install and dismantle structures on‑site, ensuring stability, levelness and safety while coordinating with decorators, florists, electricians and lighting teams.
• Perform last‑minute adjustments or repairs during events and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Maintain and organise carpentry tools and equipment, and report material or tool needs to the Production Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience, preferably in weddings, events, exhibitions or stage production.
• Ability to read basic drawings, measurements and design plans.
• Physically fit, able to work long hours, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the capacity to work under tight event deadlines.
• UAE event‑production experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with carpentry hand tools and power tools.
• Woodworking skills including cutting, shaping, drilling, sanding, assembling and finishing.
• Experience with wood, plywood, MDF, laminate and similar materials.
• Basic painting and finishing knowledge.
• Problem‑solving ability for fabrication issues.
• Driving licence (advantage).
