About the role
The Welding/NDT Inspector will be responsible for third‑party inspection and verification of welding, process piping and mechanical equipment activities on onshore and offshore oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi.
Key responsibilities
- Perform third‑party inspection and verification of welding, process piping, mechanical equipment, hydro‑testing and advanced NDT methods.
- Review and approve multidisciplinary ITPs, procedures, site queries, NCRs and concession requests.
- Liaise with EPC contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and codes.
Required profile
- Degree in Mechanical, Welding or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years experience in onshore/offshore oil & gas or petrochemical inspection.
- Strong written and spoken English with ability to produce technical reports and QA/QC documentation.
Required skills
- CSWIP 3.1 or AWS‑CWI certification (PCN Level II or ASNT Level 2 desirable).
- Proficiency with NDT methods, hydro‑testing and ITP review.
- Familiarity with ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO and BS codes.
- Computer literate (MS Office, inspection software).
