Workshop Supervisor

About the role

The Workshop Supervisor will lead the service and repair workshop, ensuring a positive ownership experience for customers while meeting revenue and productivity targets. This role combines strategic order management with hands‑on operational oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Receive job orders from Service Advisors and provide detailed explanations and cost estimates for additional repairs.
• Obtain customer approvals, raise material requisitions, and follow up on ordered parts.
• Ensure an adequate flow of vehicles into the workshop and achieve budgeted revenue targets.
• Promote and sell value‑added services, tyres, and accessories.
• Monitor workshop productivity, work‑in‑process (WIP) orders, and timely billing.
• Maintain vehicle turnaround time and achieve fix‑right‑first‑time (FIRFT) goals.
• Develop technicians’ cross‑functional skills and coach them to meet KPI targets.
• Enforce SOPs and workshop standards across all operations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 to 7 years of experience as a Workshop Supervisor in the automotive dealer industry.
• Highly organized, result‑driven, tactical decision‑maker.
