AC Technician – Luxury Hotel HVAC Specialist

About the role

Join the engineering team at JA Ocean View Hotel and ensure the property’s climate systems operate flawlessly. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing air‑conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation equipment across guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to AC and refrigeration breakdowns and perform corrective actions.
• Inspect and monitor kitchen chillers, freezers, HVAC plant rooms and record performance data.
• Maintain and service AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs, kitchen exhaust and toilet exhaust systems.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and major repairs on chillers, freezers and air‑conditioning units.
• Service, repair and sanitize ice‑cube machines while supporting HACCP documentation.
• Coordinate with the General Technician to resolve guest‑room AC requests.

Required profile

• High School Certificate or equivalent; vocational diploma or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of HVAC maintenance experience in 5‑star hotels, hospitals, malls or similar facilities.
• Strong knowledge of central cooling plants, refrigerants, gases and cooling technologies.

Required skills

• Hands‑on expertise with HVAC systems, including AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs and chillers.
• Basic knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Ability to diagnose faults, perform repairs and follow preventive‑maintenance practices.
