Academic Support Officer – UAE

About the role

The Academic Support Officer provides essential administrative and academic assistance to program leaders, faculty, and students within Higher Colleges of Technology. The role requires maintaining confidentiality, exercising tact and diplomacy, and adapting to changing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule meetings, book rooms, write minutes and manage travel arrangements.
• Liaise with multiple internal departments such as HR, Finance, IT, and Student Engagement.
• Collect data from stakeholders and produce regular and ad‑hoc reports, statistical analyses, presentations and email correspondence.
• Maintain student, faculty, program and course records while ensuring privacy and security.
• Support academic services during peak periods, including student registration, course reviews, accreditation, budgeting, procurement and KPI monitoring.
• Assist with market intelligence, research and preparation for assessments and faculty work‑load allocation periods.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
