Account Manager - Oil & Gas Power Solutions

About the role

Caterpillar is looking for an Account Manager to manage key customer and dealer relationships across the AME region, supporting the growth of its Oil & Gas power solutions business. The role works closely with customers, dealers and internal teams to identify opportunities, provide commercial support and drive successful outcomes through communication and negotiation. About 60% of the time is spent travelling, and the position is based from the office when not travelling; no relocation support is offered.

Key responsibilities

• Follow organizational policies and procedures while keeping clear lines of communication with customers.
• Consult with dealers and internal partners on sales and service support for corporate account customers.
• Design processes for telling customers about rates, shipping dates, anticipated delays and other information they need.
• Work directly with customers to influence specifications, gather information, sell additional products and services and meet their needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in account management, sales, business development or customer-facing roles in the industrial, energy or related sectors.
• Experience in the oil & gas industry is required; electric power experience is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory; French is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience managing key accounts, identifying growth opportunities and influencing customer decisions.
• Project management experience and stakeholder coordination are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of generator sets (gensets), engines and power systems, able to discuss both technical and commercial solutions with customers.
• Negotiation, relationship management, account management and value selling.
