Account Manager - Telco

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring an Account Manager for the Telco sector in Dubai. The role is hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week spent in an HPE office. It covers one or several large accounts or acts as account lead for a major account, managing the account's profitability and driving growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build and execute an account business plan, driving growth and profitability across HPE's portfolio and formulating technology choices that expand HPE's presence and margin.
• Manage the pipeline, lead early engagements and close deals with a multi-disciplinary team including partners.
• Develop relationships with customer executives and key influencers, and engage the customer's CTO/CIO where appropriate.
• Build and govern the partner network, working with the Partner Business Manager to update the partner strategy.
• Lead and develop the extended account team, running governance and providing regular feedback.
• Keep up to date with IT trends and present HPE's portfolio and its use in other customers.

Required profile

• Typically 6-10+ years of account management experience.
• University or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience; engineering or technology education, advanced degree or MBA desired.
• Experience in the IT industry, in an IT department, in a vertical industry or in different sales roles is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong results orientation and ability to articulate a vision and path in an account business plan.
• Able to deliver on short-term sales engagements and objectives.
• Thorough knowledge of IT trends and of HPE products, solutions and services.
• Skilled at leading teams in a complex matrix organization and building professional networks.
