Accountant – Accounts Payable and Receivable

About the role

Black Pearl Consult is looking for a meticulous, detail-oriented Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. The role provides financial, administrative and clerical support, covering accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, expense monitoring and record keeping in line with tax and accounting regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and record freight invoices, and analyse monthly R&D costs, outbound freight expenses and other income streams
• Prepare supplier advances and pre-payment invoices according to agreed terms, and enter OPEX invoices into the accounting system
• Reconcile supplier accounts, create bank payment vouchers and compile import details for VAT reporting
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, assist with month-end closing and trial balance analysis
• Review and approve supplier payment requests, manage advance payments and record monthly accruals and provisions
• Conduct monthly accounts receivable reconciliations and work with the Finance Manager on trial balance reviews

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience preparing P&L, balance sheets and cash flow reports, booking accounts payable invoices and managing account payables closing
• Solid understanding of VAT and local financial regulations
• Preferred certifications: CMA, CFA, CPA or CA
