Accountant – AR & AP (Odoo ERP)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage the full cycle of accounts receivable and accounts payable using Odoo ERP. The role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, and supports month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day AR operations in Odoo, including invoicing, payment posting, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain AR records, customer ledgers, statements and aging reports.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up collections and resolve billing disputes.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing by preparing AR schedules and reconciliations.
• Ensure correct VAT treatment on sales invoices and assist with VAT return preparation.
• Provide AR documentation for UAE Corporate Tax submissions and audit confirmations.
• Review, verify and process supplier invoices, purchase orders and payment requests with 3‑way matching.
• Process vendor payments, maintain vendor ledgers and reconcile supplier statements.
• Monitor AP aging, ensure timely payments and correct VAT treatment on supplier invoices.
• Prepare AP documentation for Corporate Tax, audits and internal controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing full‑cycle AR and AP functions.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP for accounting processes.
• Ability to support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Experience preparing documentation for auditors and tax authorities.
