Accountant (Audit Background)

About the role

Black Pearl Consult is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant with a strong background in auditing, preferably from Big 4 firms. The role covers managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, supporting financial reporting and keeping accurate documentation. It suits someone who can work in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledgers and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor company transactions
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and regulatory requirements
• Assist in preparing financial statements and audit schedules
• Support internal and external audits by providing the required documentation
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Assist in budget preparation and financial analysis
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records
• Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors when required

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA or CA are an advantage
• Experience working in the UAE is preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Accountant
• Minimum 3 years of auditing experience in Big 4 audit firms (PwC, Deloitte, EY or KPMG preferred)

Required skills

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with financial reconciliations and audit support
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• Analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
