Accountant – Financial Accounting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to lead the financial accounting functions for our global energy maritime logistics business. The role ensures accurate journal entries, financial ledgers, trial balances, and the timely preparation of financial statements in line with company policy and ADNOC guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the performance of general accounting functions, maintaining journal entries, ledgers, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure timely closure of business unit accounts and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
• Review and approve journal vouchers for accuracy, proper coding, and authorization.
• Manage monthly and year‑end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Supervise periodic reconciliations between sub‑systems and the General Ledger for receivables, payables, payroll, assets, and inventory.
• Coordinate with ADNOC to meet timetable and requirements for financial statement consolidation.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to ensure integrity of financial statements and compliance with company policies and ADNOC guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting management reporting.
